In sports, a huddle is when a team gathers together in a close, tight, and organized group. They use this time to share information, collaborate on strategies, and celebrate any accomplishments that have been made. Most commonly seen in football, a huddle is an integral part of any team’s success. So it is no surprise that Ardor Health Solutions chose to integrate the huddle into their mornings and afternoons. 

The daily huddle was actually started back in the days of John D. Rockefeller. He came up with the idea of a daily business huddle in order to better provide his management and team with a good flow of daily information. Ever since then this idea has spread drastically to a variety of companies.

Every morning and afternoon, around 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. respectively, anyone inside Ardor Health’s office can be sure that they will be hearing a call from the pit, “Time for the Huddle!” Without skipping a beat everyone heads to middle of the office and assembles in a circular fashion in order to form Ardor Health Solutions’ huddle. Equipped with a pen and pad and their hot leads, each member of the team brings something unique to the huddle.  This is a time for everyone to put their pressing issues on hold and to share with the rest of their team what they need help with. Each member of the team respects each person’s time in the huddle and listens closely to what needs to be said. The huddle is a time for brainstorming, collaboration, and overall building of team spirit here at Ardor Health. Each huddle is always different, and each one always has a different feel to it, but the same thing is always accomplished, complete collaboration of the whole team.

After the end of each huddle the whole team is brought closer together for some last few words of encouragement from management. After that is said, everyone puts in their right hand and one big and loud “ARDOR!” is shouted to break the huddle. Every company is different and every company has its own methods, but whatever their methods may be, collaboration and communication are key. How long will it take for me to start after I submit my application?

Once your application is submitted timing is completely up to you. One of our recruiters will contact you and start to work to find you an ideal assignment that fits your specifications. If you need to start working ASAP, our recruiters will immediately start presenting you with opportunities, and our account representatives will submit to any positions that you are attracted to. Typically, you can start within just a few weeks as long as you have current state licensure and all background and drug testing information have been completed. Whether you are a PT, OT, or SLP there is always a multitude of options to choose from, including PTA’s and COTA’s. If you do not wish to start immediately that is perfectly fine too. Our recruiters will begin gathering jobs for you that meet that specific time period and present them to you when you are ready. Will I be required to sign a long term contract?

When working with Ardor Health you will never be required to sign a long term contract. Typically every assignment is different in terms of length. However, for most travel assignments you can expect around a 13 week assignment. Your recruiter will always work with you on whether or not if you want to work a shorter assignment or a longer assignment. Your specific recruiter will be able to walk you through their agreement and any legal wording you need clarification on. Whether your preferences change between each assignment doesn’t matter because Ardor Health will always work to find the perfect assignment for you.

Can I travel with another therapist?

Absolutely! Teams of therapists are very common and Ardor Health actually encourages you to travel with a friend to different assignments. Nothing changes, only the fact that we will accommodate both you and your friend. Depending on the needs of your target area, our recruiters will be able to place you either in the same facility or in different settings within the same area. Ardor Health will work with you on housing arrangements; placing you together in an apartment or situating you in different private apartments in the same complex. What do I do about my mail? Do I have to keep changing my address?

You have several options as what you can do with your mail. You can have your mail forwarded to your temporary address each time you move. You can set up a PO Box with an independent mailbox/shipping outlet and arrange to have the organization forward your mail on a set schedule. Or, you can have your mail forwarded to a family member or friend and have that person forward your mail to you on a weekly basis. Whichever you choose or whichever is easiest for you; Ardor Health will be able to help you every step of the way to make your travel assignment that much more enjoyable!
