We are hiring Special Education Teachers in Kenosha, WI for the 2026-27 school year, full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Key Details: *You'll work 8/24/26-6/7/27, 37.5 hours per week *Kids have a half day on Fridays, you'll have the afternoons to plan and do paperwork *Specific information regarding student caseloads and age groups are TBD, but multiple roles are available--first applicants will have more choices! Qualifications: *Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education with a Special Education Certification *You'll need a DPI (Department of Public Instruction) with the state of WI for Early Childhood-Middle or Middle-Early Adolescence to qualify *Previous experience is always appreciated Requirements vary by license type, but generally, you will need to meet the following criteria: Application: If you don't hold a current DPI, you'll need to apply through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's website State Statutory Requirements: Wisconsin may assign stipulations (deficiencies) on your license. Out-of-state applicants frequently have to complete additional coursework or training specific to Wisconsin laws, such as training on science-based reading and language arts instruction. Exams: You may need to pass Wisconsin-specific content or testing requirements or provide scores from your Illinois testing (like the ILTS) for DPI evaluation. Licensure Level: The DPI will review your specific Illinois credentials and issue the most similar Wisconsin subject and grade-level license for which you qualify. License, Certification & CE Assistance: Reimbursements and assistance are offered on a case-by-case basis. Approval must be documented by your recruiting team and is not guaranteed for every clinician or assignment.
